In the U.S., the final performance show of America's Got Talent and the finale of So You Think You Can Dance went head-to-head.

Talent
edged out Dance in the States, but in this country, since CTV simulcasts both shows, the competition was avoided.

As a result, Dance's finale topped both final episodes of Talent—even against strong competition with Global's Rock Star: Supernova.

Though both Dance and Talent performed well—and a lead-in of Canada's regularly top-rated show C.S.I. notably bolstered Talent— it wasn't strong enough to beat Canadian Idol.

Idol
's audience has now grown to over 2.2 million as the show begins to near its mid-September finale.
